Teacher Appreciation Week

IMG_8804Teachers are real life superheroes. They educate, innovate, encourage and support. Every day they touch the lives of our our children and their work and impact extends far beyond the boundaries of the classroom.

Take the time to celebrate these real life superheroes during HIS PTA’s Teacher Appreciation Week, April 11-15, 2016.

How You Can Show Appreciation

HIS PTA’s Teacher Appreciation Week is the perfect time to thank teachers for the difference they make.

Here’s how you can get involved:

  • Send a thank you card to a special teacher in your life or a teacher of a child in your life.
  • Show your support for the tremendous work teachers do by volunteering in a classroom.
  • Tell us on Facebook about a teacher who’s had an impact on your child’s life and how you plan to celebrate teachers during the week.

PTA-Hosted Events:

Monday April 11th: Teacher Appreciation Committee will start the week with breakfast offered outside the admin office. This will catered by Einstein Bagels. The teachers will get their superhero capes and masks that morning.

Tuesday April 12th: Teacher Appreciation Committee Members Lori, Reem, Crystal and Lili will take pictures of the teachers and specials as super heroes with their class.  These pictures will be framed in decorated frames.

Wednesday April 13th: Lunch will be provided for teachers by room parents on this day.  We need volunteers to take care of lunches for the special teachers as they do not have room parents. We will also need volunteers for the lunchroom to supervise the kids allowing the teachers time to enjoy their lunch. Sign Up Here.

Thursday April 14th: Teacher Appreciation Committee will present teachers with a bound and decorated folder, which will contain a “Thank You” sheet prepared in advance by each student in that class. Also, the teacher will be presented with either individual gifts from parents/students or a class gift.  I’ll leave this to the room parents to determine.

Friday April 15th: We will have a catered luncheon by Stephano’s Greek & Mediterranean Grill.  The teachers will get the framed pictures during lunch.
